Compdigitec FlatfileTools is a useful and state-of-the art class to manipulate flat-file databases (actually delimited text files). Compdigitec FlatfileTools is written in PHP 5 and is licensed under the GPL v2 or later.
Compdigitec FlatfileTools supports a wide variety of existing flat-file databases, flat-file tables, flat-file delimited text files, flatfile dumps and much, much more, while maintaining consistency among new flat-file databases. For example, for new flat-file databases will use the Unix line ending and the "|" column divider, but you can adjust settings in config.ini to read flat-file databases with line endings of DOS and column divders/delimiters that are tabs.
Still not convinced? Compdigitec FlatfileTools is free and open source, which means that you can get it and modify it for NO CHARGE AT ALL! The only rule is that you have make any work that you make with Compdigitec FlatfileTools licensed under the GPL. You must also send any changes that you make to Compdigitec, through e-mail or the forums.
